  • We take children from 6 months until they go to school.

  • We are open 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday.

  • For 6 months to 2 years old we have a ratio of 1 adult to 3 children. For the 2-3 year olds we operate at a ratio of 1 :4, and aged 3+ is a ratio of 1:6.

  • From September 2025 all eligible parents of children 9 months and older will receive 1,140 hours per year of funded childcare. We spread this over the 48 weeks that we open which means you will be entitled to 3 funded core sessions per week, we don’t offer funding for breakfast and supper club. It may be necessary to charge a small top up fee per hour to cover consumable such as meals and resources, this will be outlined to you before enrolling.

  • We’re thrilled to hear your considering mouse’s garden for your new baby, we just request you wait until your baby has safely arrived before signing them up.

  • Yes, we provide all meals and snacks and cater to all dietary requirements, our meals are all vegetarian and organic. They will receive a morning and afternoon snack as well as a hot meal, side and dessert for lunch. All our food is prepared onsite daily by our chef, going straight from the farm to your child’s plate. We will also prepare fruit or vegetables harvested from the farm and cook on the fire or do baking as a part of the children’s activities. Learn more about our food here.

  • We have babymoon hammocks where babies can sleep, we can take these outside in fair weather so children can enjoy the benefits of sleeping in the fresh air. We also have mats and blankets for the older children to sleep on if they require an afternoon nap after lunch.

  • We are fully geared up to support little ones on their potty training journey. We have potty’s available in the under two’s yurt, which are behind a screen for privacy. As children become more confident we have compost loos adapted with children’s toilet seats and steps. We support all children with correct handwashing after a nappy change or using the toilet to ensure we’re creating good hygiene habits early on.

  • Our nursery setting is based within a hazel coppice, and we also have a walnut tree. If your child has a nut allergy, we advise you to seek medical advice and use your own judgement as you know your own child and their needs best.

  • Mouse’s Garden is open Monday to Friday from 9am-5pm. We are closed on bank holidays, and take one short annual break over the Christmas and New Year period when the nursery closes fully.

We do this in order to give our staff the well deserved time off they need, and carry out essential maintenance. It also enables you and your family to enjoy the festive season without being charged for any missed sessions (any holidays taken outside of the scheduled closures will be charged at full rate as per our terms and conditions).

  • Our sessions are full days from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. We ask that you enrol your child for a minimum of two sessions per week as we feel any fewer won’t allow enough opportunity to make the most of everything we have to offer at Mouse’s Garden.

  • If you would like to express your interest in Mouse’s Garden for your child, please get in touch via our Contact page, and we will send you a form to complete.

  • We are currently growing our team. We have full and part-time positions available and would love to hear from you! Learn more here.
