Hi, I’m Sophie Southerden

As the chef at Mouse’s Garden, I create delicious, nourishing meals that go straight from our farm to your child’s plate. All our food is organic, vegetarian, and made with seasonal ingredients – fresh, colourful, and full of flavour. I believe it’s important to get children excited about food from a young age: growing vegetables, helping with prep, and discovering how wonderful fresh ingredients can be.

My greatest inspiration in the kitchen is my own family. As a mum of three boys, I love to experiment with food, making mealtimes fun and adventurous so they feel confident trying new things. The way I cook for them is exactly how I cook for the children here – with the same love, care, and attention.

I trained as a chef in Bristol and have worked as a private chef, chocolatier, wedding caterer, and head chef at a family restaurant. When Flo shared her vision for Mouse’s Garden, joining the team felt completely natural. We share a passion for raising healthy, vibrant little nature lovers and creating food that reflects that ethos.

Outside the kitchen, I love running, swimming, gardening, and spending time outdoors with my husband and our three boys – usually with something delicious on the go.
