Hi, I’m Maja Clark

At Mouse’s Garden, I’m lucky to combine my love of creativity with my passion for early childhood learning. As Deputy Nursery Manager and Early Years Teacher, I lead art-based activities across all age groups, helping children explore expression and imagination through nature and materials. My approach is calm, creative, and always child-centred. I believe learning should feel like play, and that every child should have the freedom to explore, express, and connect at their own pace.

I was drawn to Mouse’s Garden by its ethos and deep connection to the outdoors. We’re a very outdoorsy family ourselves, and I loved the idea of bringing my teaching experience into an environment that celebrates play, creativity, and nature. Becoming a mum gave me a new appreciation for the early years – I find such joy in helping young children grow and thrive.

I studied Fine Art Painting at Bath Spa University before beginning my career in education. After completing my PGCE in Art Education, I spent nine years teaching Art in schools. Outside of Mouse’s Garden, I run community art classes for children, exhibit my own work, and spend as much time as possible outdoors with my family – often camping in our bell tent, complete with a woodburner for chilly nights under the stars.
