Hi, I’m Carrie Boyle
I am the Nursery Manager here at Mouse’s Garden, looking after the day-to-day running of things and ensuring the children have a wonderful experience. It’s a diverse role that takes me everywhere from the office, to supporting staff in the garden, playing alongside the children, planning rotas and dreaming up new opportunities for us all to learn, explore and grow. No two days are ever the same, and I love being part of it all.
We pride ourselves in living and working as a community here at the nursery, and it’s my job to help everyone carve out their own role and then flourish collectively. That’s why listening is at the heart of everything we do here. We listen to children so they feel safe, heard and understood. We listen to parents, so you feel supported and involved. We listen to nature’s rhythms, and plan our days in connection with our surroundings. And we listen to each other – because it’s only by working as a team that we can give every child the best possible start.
I’ve spent over 20 years working in early years and primary education – a journey that’s taken me from day nurseries and infant classrooms to roles as a Deputy Headteacher and Lecturer in Early Years Education. I’ve also been a school governor, parish councillor, trustee, and a mentor for adults with learning difficulties. These roles have shaped my belief in inclusion, collaboration and helping every individual thrive – values I carry with me into Mouse’s Garden every day.
After taking a few years out to be at home with my two energetic boys, I returned to work with a fresh perspective – and a renewed appreciation for the little moments that matter. Having my own children has taught me so much about the importance of stepping back, watching closely, and truly listening.
When I’m not at Mouse’s Garden, you’ll usually find me getting creative, whether I’m baking, painting, or crafting something with my hands. It’s my favourite way to relax and unwind after a busy day at the nursery. I also sing in a local choir, which brings me so much joy.
