Hi, I’m Annie Brooke
As an Early Years Practitioner and Chef at Mouse’s Garden, I help create a nurturing, engaging environment where even our youngest children can explore, learn, and thrive. Whether I’m leading calm, nature-centred activities with the Under 2s or preparing wholesome, nourishing meals, my goal is always the same – to support children as they grow in confidence, independence, and joy.
I hold a Montessori Diploma in Early Childhood from Global Montessori Education in London and have worked in both the UK and the USA, including as Head of the Toddler Program at a Montessori school in Colorado. My career has been wonderfully varied – from teaching to shipbuilding to managing a café – but my heart has always belonged to helping children learn through experience.
As a mum of three (including twins born just 20 months after my first), I’ve learned patience, adaptability, and the beauty of small moments. I’m passionate about the Montessori principle of “help me to do it myself”, and nothing brings me more joy than seeing a child’s pride in their own achievements.
Outside of nursery life, I love running, hiking, and baking. I’m also a Churchwarden at All Saints in Faringdon and was previously a foster parent while living in Colorado – two roles that continue to shape my perspective on care, community, and compassion.
